Luckily I was able to receive another pair of boots because the other one in smaller size didn’t fit quite well. Great Service!

But when I received the larger pair I instantly noticed that they are extremly comfortable. They fit perfectly by the first minute.

My Master shoemaker was impressed by how well these boots are made.

Here's my out-of-the-box review, having just put these on. I found that the "Tom" boot runs small and narrow, probably because it's based on a vintage shoe design. Having wide feet, I found I had to go up a size (13 instead of 12). They are very hard to put on at first because the leather is thin (not to say insubstantial or too delicate, just thinner and floppier than my modern boots). I had to remove all the lacing, put the boots on that way, and then re-lace them to get them on. You will definitely need a shoehorn, at least at first, and the boots don't have speed hooks for the top couple of eyelets like modern boots so they may take a bit longer to put on. That being said, I suspect these boots are going to fit like a glove and be very comfortable once they've been worn a bit and broken in, because the thinner leather will mold to my foot. A word to the wise -- they are very slippery at first because of the smooth leather soles. Mette kindly put in an extra set of laces and a small piece of sandpaper to roughen up the soles, and I suggest you do this once you are satisfied with the fit. Lovely boots and I think I am really going to like wearing them with my period suits.

I purchased my brown Tom boots in July on back order, and though they took a while to come, for I imagine there were a great many orders made, the boots exceeded all expectations when they arrived. I have faith that an order made on shoes already in stock would be timely.

The leather is some of the finest quality on the market, being soft and supple. The boots fit perfectly, size US 10, and were comfortable from the start. They are almost like dance shoes, for the sole is a very flexible leather, and the leather is the boots is so soft and malleable, moulding to the foot very nicely. No pinching or tightness. You could even take out the small foam insert and add a thin aftermarket insert if desired, however the shoes are rather comfortable for all day wear. I have suffered from muscle issues in my feet for several years now, and was so pleased to get these boots and find them far more comfortable than any other hard-sole shoe/boot. 5 stars. Looking forward to future purchases.

These magnificent shoes are absolutely gorgeous, well made with supple leather that molds to your foot and feels so good even during the first wear, I dont know how these went out of style but someone needs to notify the world that these shoes need to be brought back into everyday fashion for the good of everyone's feet and dignity, I cant wait to see what other shoes from this era are like, thank you for doing a wonderful job recreating a timeless classic and adding new age comfort, I cant wait to buy another style from memery.
