Diese klassischen Sommerkeile sind aus weichem Wildleder gefertigt und verfügen über ein zartes Cut-out-Design, das einen Hauch weiblichen Charmes verleiht. Die Peeptoe-Form und der verstellbare Knöchelriemen mit Metallschnalle bieten sowohl Stil als auch Halt. Für zusätzlichen Komfort sorgen weiche Silikon-Einlagen unter der Lederlaufsohle, die eine gepolsterte Passform bieten und diese Sandalen ideal für den ganztägigen Tragekomfort machen.

Perfect Fit!

I adore the 1940s style of clothes and shoes. I have been looking at this style of sandal for several years and always put off buying because I didn't think they would be wide enough to be comfortable with my bunions. But I saw a couple of reviews from ladies with bunions who needed a wider fit and said they were very comfortable. So I ordered them and they are brilliant! Beautiful colour and quality and comfortable from first wearing! So I've ordered a green pair! Thank you so much!

Fantastic sandals!

I ordered this pair of sandals for my mum on the occasion of Mother’s Day. It is not easy to find comfortable shoes for her as she has bunions that require wide and soft shoes. However this pair of sandals was just perfect and she is very happy about them. She also told me that her mum used to wear similar sandals and she remembers them from her childhood:)

Lovely…. With a ‘but’

These are my fourth purchase of the wonderful Memery footwear.
The beautiful green Ella sandal has their usual excellent features in terms of style, and quality, but I find it disappointing that the sole is SO rigid that it doesn’t bend at all when walking. This puts pressure on the uppers and makes for a less comfortable wearing experience. Could you make these lovely sandals with a more flexible sole ?

Hi Madeleine. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review on our Ella sandals, we're happy to hear you love the style and quality. I'm sorry to hear you find them stiff - it's not what we usually hear about our wedge sandals. We chose to make our sandals with a thicker sole with silicone inserts for extra comfort, and we haven't experienced that customers found it non flexible. Sometimes they need a bit of breaking in, which can help the flexibility.

Made in China

Yes, they are cute. Yes, they are comfortable. But, the soles are man made (read plastic) and there is a sticker on the sole that says «designed in Denmark, Made in China ». So, the price is just not justified. Disappointing.

Our wedge sandals have rubber soles, as they are based on an original pair of sandals from the late 1940's and they have rubber soles. To stay as true to the original design as possible, we have chosen to make them with rubber soles as well. Most of our other models have leather soles, and if you're looking for leather soled sandals and shoes I'll be happy to guide you. If you're ever in doubt about what material the sole is made of, you can always see it in the description on the product page.
As you say, our shoes are designed here in Denmark, and we work with a small shoemaker in southern China that specialises in handmade leather shoes. The team is highly skilled, with every employee having over five years of experience. Our partner provides a great work environment, offering fair wages above the local minimum, paid holidays and strictly no child labor - something that’s very important to us, which is also reflected in the price. The company is run by a kind and inspiring woman who shares our values for quality and ethical production. All our shoes are carefully designed and tested here in Denmark to meet our high standards. Our shoes are made of full grain leather, the best leather you can get, and they are meant to last a long time.

I love these shoes

I love these shoes.
I am on my feet all day at work, my feet work hard. I have wide feet (bunions 😩) so comfort and quality are important to me.
These shoes are so comfortable I forgot they were new. Plus the jewel colour and vintage style make even my fat misshapen feet look good. I normally try to hide them in big boots but in the summer with a dress, or for dancing, or even just because…I will wear these and feel great 😊. I’m already eying up the other styles and thinking about which ones I can get next.
Not cheap but beautifully made, excellent quality, arrived in reasonable time and a joy to wear.

Très joli, mais un peu large pour mes pieds fins

J’étais prête à commander une autre paire mais je trouve ces chaussures trop larges pour mes pieds . Dommage car j’aime beaucoup le design.
