40er Jahre Alltags-Oxfords in zweifarbiger Optik - Dunkelbraun / Aubergine - Clara

I've been lurking on the Memery website for awhile, trying to decide which of the beautiful shoes to buy. Of course pictures are beautiful, but it's risky buying shoes online. Finally chose the Clara two-tone and hoped for the best!

The BEST is what arrived! Not only are the shoes beautiful, but they are SO well-made! I've purchased vintage-style shoes from another well-known brand and been disappointed, so I was bracing myself, but the Clara shoes are excellent quality, quality materials, high style (love the little tassels on the laces), and they FIT. The toe box doesn't cramp, the heels are where they should be, and (bonus) my orthotic appliance slides right in effortlessly.

Not only that, but these shoes make my feet look... pretty. What more can I ask?

Now that I'm reassured about the quality and fit, I'm going back to the memery website to choose another pair!

I don't usually write reviews, but I'm absolutely in love with these shoes. I bought this and two others, and they all fit perfectly. Aside from that, they're absolutely well-made and stunning. Since it's difficult for me to find vintage shoes, I'm so grateful to have found this brand.

They are a bitte thight in the front but I'm sure the leather ist going to stretch a bit going forward.

Fantastic shoes the best I've put on my feet so comfy and pretty. I love them. The fit is good and the heel height just perfect for me. Lovely soft leather and suede.

I am delighted with my new shoes - thank you! They are of a wonderful quality - beautifully made using top-class materials. I haven't worn them yet as it is still very warm, but come the autumn and winter, they will, I'm sure, be worn and enjoyed.

These beautiful shoes arrived, without delay. Really well made and at a reasonable price, they are a little large but fit wearing lambs -wool inserts.

This style and colour is gorgeous and maybe my new favourite but I love all my Memery shoes/boots/sandals. I bought the standard width and it's plenty wide. I'm a mix of widths (I'm a tad wider on one foot and a bit in-between sizes) depending on the style/shape. I have in the past messaged Mette about the Karin and Laura boot as they were a one width only style. Mette was very helpful and worked out what a comparison with my other shoes/boots would be like so I decided to try them- they were perfect so I bought both styles! Thank you :)

My fifth pair! Such a gratifying experience: the shoes arrive, I try them on, perfect fit, perfect feeling, and besides, these aubergine beauties are stunners! Can't wait to show them off in autumn :-) Mette, you are truly an (inter)national hero!

Ever since these shoes were released, I thought about getting them. Now I finally did and they’re as beautiful as imagined. The contrast between the suede and polished leather makes them more unique, the laces are accurate for a 1940s look. They are absolutely gorgeous shoes in a deep brownish burgundy shade. I ordered these in a size 38, as I assumed they’d be similar to the “Emily” shoes. Unfortunately these are about half a size too big so I’ll be sending these back and consider getting them in a smaller size. So if you’re unsure and are between sizes, maybe size down, since there are no half sizes available.
