Alltagsschuh im Stil der 1920er Jahre - Marineblau - Ruby

I love these shoes, I got them in the cream colour and they’re the perfect neutral for any outfit. I love the low heel which makes them super comfortable and easy to walk in.

Jeg bestilte disse, fordi jeg gerne ville have nogle pæne vintage sko med lav hæl. Modellen passede fint i længde og bredde, men desværre ikke over vristen, hvor jeg ikke kunne knappe remmen.
Jeg har flere Memery sko, som passer mig fint, og som jeg rigtig glad for, så desværre.

These shoes were the fifth addition to my Memery collection of shoes, having bought a range over the past few years. I have always loved the fit and quality of the previous purchases, which is why I come back for more. I do a lot of walking in my daily life, but these shoes are worth investing in so when they get understandably worn out by my walking, I usually take them to a cobbler to have heels replaced or the leather patched. I was quite disappointed with these blue Ruby shoes because the bar had been set so high by the previous Memery shoes I had purchased. I bought the size I normally get, and they were definitely much more narrow than other Memery shoes I had purchased, and required wearing very thick socks for two weeks in order to stretch the leather. Since they were tight and the hard leather rubbed my feet, I didn't wear them much out and about, but around the home in order to break them in. Normally, there is a bit of breaking in needed for all leather shoes, but these ones were particularly uncomfortable to start with. Eventually, the leather was stretched and soft enough for me to start wearing the shoes outside, and within a week, the elastic that the fastening button is sewn on with snapped! Luckily I managed to find the button on the street (and the shoes do come with spare buttons which is useful) but I was disappointed that the elastic had worn out in less than a month and that I have to take them to a cobbler for repair already. The design gives the appearance that they are daily-wear, 'sensible' shoes, but I think they might not be suited to it as well as other designs such as Emma (which is is my all-time favourite daily wear shoe).

I'm anywhere from a US 7.5 to 8 depending on the shoe. I have sort of a square toe profile so if a shoe is too pointy my regular size is often painful. European size 38 was definitely too small, and these 39s are slightly too large, but at least they don't pinch. With that said, these are so adorable and very well made. Customer support is very good, too. I am looking forward to wearing them outside.

The shoes didn’t fit though I liked them. I returned and got a different style. Customer service is great.

These are elegant and beautiful, the leather feels very good quality and the stitching is distinctive. The shape is very authentic to their era and the colour is classic. They are a bit stiff since they are new, and will take some wearing in I expect, but the shape is comfortable.

Unfortunately the strap is extremely short, my feet are not particularly high in the instep but the strap is so very short on me I will have to take it to a cobbler to see if they can find a way to elongate the elastic for the button. The button is also quite fiddly to fasten and unfasten.

I should have read the reviews here. Also for me the strap to close on top was too short and no way would I be able to close it. I've returned the shoe. Hoping for a quick turnaround of the return order.
